Tajuk di atas bukan percubaan tuan blog utk jadik "kemproh" ( java word meaning selekeh) hahahhaha.. It is indeed true story of my experience here so just dun hate me if u loosing appetite while read this okay heh heh heh..

1st changes we had to face of course different time zone. Kuwait lambat 5 jam dr Malaysia. Basically, 1st week here was a about adapting, adjusting and tuning. Pukul 5 pagi kat sini dh macam pukul 8-9 kat Malaysia. Bayangkan, on the very 1st day kat Kuwait, Alis Erin tido pukul 6 petang ( equivalent to 11 mlm Malaysia time) and start meloncat depan tivi pukul 4 pagi (equivalent to 9 pagi Malaysia time).

| APPETITE |

Time berubah and so did appetite. Good thing here is I have longer morning so as to say. Yelah, Subuh pukul 3 lebey so normally, bangun around 4-4.15 for prayer and tido balik. Mostly pukul 5 aku dah terjaga coz dh terang. Pls be mind that terang kat Kuwait ni bukan cam terang kat Mesia. Contohnye, pukul 8 pagi kat Mesia was still mendung-like. Betu2 terang menyinar2 adelah around 10 pagi ke atas. Here in Kuwait, pukul 5 pagi tu dh terang benderang hehhee.. On the 1st day here, aku start buat sarapan pukul 5 pagi and start masak lauk for lunch straightaway.. pukul 8 pagi siap everything.. Like WTF !!! Tak pernah ku buat hohhh kat Mesia hahahhaha.. Still, in between masak, aku gi dpan jap tgk my husband main God Of War on PS3, then sambung balik masak... Cayalahh.. Morning i cook nasik goreng cina for breakfast , and am planning to cook Kari Kepala Ikan with Bendi, Ayam goreng rempah and Kobis goreng with Udang since En Muddy invite one of his friends coming over for lunch. By 8 sume dh siap.. huhuhuhu....

Ok, kembali ke nawaitu asal, nk cite pasal changes of appetite. After breakfast dalam pukul 9, girls will start main and then dlm pukul 10 lebey ke 11 dah lapar balik, so by 11 normally. I already start servng for lunch. Then samada derang tido, tgk TV or do colouring.. begitu begini pukul 2 lebey dh start lapar balik huuhuuuhh.. so I had to always have some snacks ke biscuit ke available around.. something fast and easy to get ready. On the 1st day, lucky I had ready-made Marguerite Pizza I bought from Lulu Hypermarket the other day so just put in oven and within 6 minutes, hot steaming pizza is ready..within 20 minutes, pizza gone. Begitulah cepat nye mereka mereka ini lapar. Still after pizza, around 4 , they already ask for something so I either fried keropok, or potong buah2, then they'll munch on Oreo la, pringles laaaa ..huhuhuhu sekarang saya paham perasaan mak saya yang sentiasa ade di dapur kah kah kah.. As I type this post, I am just finish cooking inti utk murtabak. Am making murtabak frozen, persediaan di hari anak anak lapar... Next project, popia and spring roll frozen !

| WEATHER |

As I said before, it is entering summer in Qwait and most gulf countries. Temperature dalam 40-43 degree. It's very bright in day time. Plus the fact that we are surrounded by desert, it was rather yellowish or brownish scenery everywhere. The air was sandy or berhabuk hence no ampaian here. Almost all homes here were equipped with dryer, else they'll need to have ampaian inside the house. I just can't imagine idai baju kat luar during this time. I bet white cloth will change to brown in no time hahaha.. I never open my windows here becos it is indeed musim panas and whole house was equipped with air-conditioner, sampai ke dapur dapur ade ekon but every 2 days once i had to wipe all furniture. Masa 1st time sampai this house, it was left for about 2 weeks or so sebab En Muddy balik Malaysia. The conditions hmmmmmmmmm macam kene tinggal 4 thn. Sand dust dh tebal dua inci everywhere. Infact, kalau tak lap sehari pun, I can start using my coffee table as black board utk ajar alis ABC hehehhe..

There's a rules in En Muddy's place during summer. No water, No Works. Air sangat memainkan peranan kat sini coz u'll hv tendency to get dehiydrated fast without water. Perubahan pertama yang aku rasa and noticed on my kids was our skin dried up very fast. Baru sehari kat sini kering abes kulit2 and we're also having very bad cracked heel. Sentiasa kene sapu vaseline lotion. Then it started to get itchy. Aiyohhhh very very inconvenient. Alis Erin pun asik suruh garu jek badan la, kaki la hahahhaa.. Later, your throat will started feel like some kind of dryness and in some people with sensitive nose like Erin, u'll have running nose. If not, u'll start to have this massive production of tahi idung. Ala, kat Mesia pun ade tahi idung kan? U had to feel it to understand. Sangat tak selesa I tell you. U just cant ignore it coz it will get flaky and sometimes bleeding inside. Kena sentiasa "overhaul" and in our case, we can be found "overhaul" our nose almost all the time sbb idung rasa tak selesa sesangat hahahahhahah.. Kekerapan production, let say kite baru abes bersihkan idung, within 5 min de dh penuh balik... Serious sangat productive hahahahha ..selekeh ekk? Well am telling the truth..

| WATER |

On second day we're here, there's no water. Tak pernah berlaku pun sebelum ni as per En Muddy. Maybe sebab summer started, so people used up a lot of water to cool the temparature down. Nevertheless, the water here are a bit yellowish and if u cook rice using it, u'll get brown rice hahhaha.. Nasib baik ade water filter so for cooking purposes, i'll use filtered water.

Sama macam dryer, hampir setiap rumah in Qwait will have space heater. Mainly to be used during winter nanti. Infact, we had 2 in our apartment. The landlord also prepared water heater to be used during musim sejuk. However, I think they forgot about musim panas hahhaa.. The pipe water nowadays are just like boiled water. 1st time mandi, aku meloncat terkejut.. Panas ya rabbi. Somemore, the pressure also very slow. Air kencing Erin lg laju dari shower kat sini if putting something for comparison hahhahaha.. How la to amik wudhu', mandi and so on. Air slow, panas lak tu... U'll end up out from bathroom as 1/2 boiled human kihkihkih...I'll nvr do sauna again in Malaysia.. Had just about enough sauna here.

As a solution, I will tadah air dalam bath tub everyday for daily use. Bath tub dh bertukar jadik kolah. There's another problem though. Since the water was yellowish, it will leave stain to the tub or infact, in the toilet bowl. I'm hygiene freak and it run deep in blood as Alis and Erin also turned out to be like me, hygiene freak. In Puchong normally, I'll wash bathroom once a week or twice a week, here more or less , it looks like i cleaned bathroom almost everyday hahahhaha..I need exercise afterall. Rumah ekon-ed, it's hard to get a drop of sweat out.. Owhh talking about sweat, En Muddy was a life size walking sweat-factory bac in Malaysia. Even in air-conditioned restaurant, he'll sweat like nobody business. Table turned here apparently coz even the climate was extreme, it's very hard to see him sweating. Me in another hand, berpeluh tak agak2 kalau keluar. Huuuuuuhuhuhhu me not likey...


| THE MAGAZINES & EnTERTAINMENT |

As my title goes about, U won't get much cleavage here. Not in shopping mall, coffee shop, market or parks( if there's one ).. Pretty much everyone here wore hijab and abaya. Still can be seen some of Kuwaitis (the modern and younger generations) wore modern clothes but still not too revealing. Even in magazines here, they'll filter it hahahhaha.. hancur la harapan kamu kamu yang berharap dapat cuci mata ehhh... For examples, below are image taken from few English magazines I bought recently. So far only 2 ca be found in English. The rest eiher in Arabic or tamil hehehe..Of course this magazines are meant for Gulf market hence the strict filtering..

There's saying , Curiosity killed the Cat. Well, just for confirmation, there's no cat were killed or harm to serve my curiosity. The only damages done was black stain all over my fingers. Serve me just rite.

U see, this filter was not printed, it was man made seal or should i say black tape. It makes me wonder how many man they had work in the factory coz i dun think they published 20 copies per edition hohh... Mesti beribu-ribu copies. They surely need a lot of manpower to selotape all those picture yang dh melalui process filter and decided too revealing for Gulf market, so to speak. Actually, to tell u the truth, i dun see a point coz the selotape they used are easily peel-able. Not much effort needed and it won't even damage the page. As i said, the only damages had was smudges hand, just like when kite pegang paper lama.

As a closing...

Sepanjang 30 thn idop aku, durian to me was a King of fruit with spikey-torny shell and most disgusted smelly fruit to western people but definitely not to Asian. You're not enjoying your life to the fullest if u dun eat durian. Turned out, i had very limited knowledge. I haven't see the world enough.

Qwait - Land of longer day and shorter nite...

Flight scheduled to leave Bumi Malaysia at 18th May 0300 hrs jika tiada aral melintang. Unfortunately, aral besar melintang that evening.

Sampai airport around 1245 am, trus checkin. I had this bad feeling when I saw red bold letter written DELAYED - TERLEWAT.. I notified En Muddy who was in line queuing, waiting for turn. Before he managed to reach the counter, DELAYED change to RE-TIME..STA 0825 hrs.. Huwaaaaaa...I knew ETA but never heard of STA. Could be Suspected Time Arrival ? or Sahih Time Arrival or could be also Salah/Silap Time Arrival hehehhe...

The ground crew confirmed that the flight was re-schedule to next morning as it leave Kuwait late from it's schedule time and reached late at Jakarta, by all means, won't be able to make it for 0300 hrs flight KUL-KWI. As a compensate, they rewarded us RM 100 meal voucher which then was spent at Burger King to feed the whole troop that coming to send us. We had quick discussion at Burger King whether to go back Puchong or to just stay at airport till morning. By saying "we staying" I meant those who leaving for Q8 only, not everyone as my sister will have to work the next day and my father had meeting the next morning. Along suggested to transit at either Pan Pac KLIA or Concorde Inn coz she can get good price using her MAS staff ID but En Muddy thought that it was such a waste as we will be only staying there for about 3-4 hrs. We need to be at boarding gate by 0700 hrs and when this discussion took place, it's almost 0200 hrs.

Head of Chief have spoken and the final result was we stay at airport. Next step was to find cozy, secluded, private place to set our bunker for the nite, errrr morning actually. We're are at airport for goddam sake ! How much privacy actually you can get here hahahha.. As we walking by looking for perfect place, suddenly The Terminal scene came to my mind. I ain't Catherine Zeta Jones and he ain't Tom Hanks alright but the feeling is there.. hahahhaa sempat lg berangan ..

Found one good spot, beside KFC near the kids playground. We gathered 4 benches and wallaaaaa, presenting small bunker aka bed for us. Once everything settled, it's time for the others to leave, time for us to bid farewell and say goodbye. My mum shed tears but managed to control it. The rest just had quick hug, salam, kiss on the cheek and left to avoid any Cerekarama.

Then what? what else then sleep. Of course it was not comfortable eh but my priority was mainly for my kids. They need to be as comfortable as they can be coz else, they will wake up with tantrums. Around 0300 they felt asleep, so I covered them nicely with sweater and jacket and start morphing to my own world. I'm not sleeping coz there's not roomy enough to fit one more adults so all i did was sit and stare.. At first, i played Pairs in my netbook while En Muddy surf the net via KLIA Wifi. Dunno what went wrong, after 5 minutes wifi went disconnected and after few try, he just gave up and sleep. Me on the other edge of the benches, gave up on Pairs coz it sucks play without mouse. I'm way too lazy to getup and korek my bag for mouse hhahaa..

So i stare....a lot.. I stare at the airport gigantic ceiling, at the cleaners who apparently having a good chat buddy compared to mine coz mine already started snoring....I even stare at few KFC staffs on duty and thinking what they're doing when there's no customers at this wee hours. Sometimes, when boredom strikes me, i felt like walking around but Erin sangat buas tido. There's a chance she would turned and tergolek atas lantai. Hmmmmm better not.. Then i heard announcement announcing masuknye waktu Subuh utk kwasan KLIA dan kawasan kawasan sewaktu dengan nya. Soon after that, En Muddy woke up and went performed Subuh prayer while me keep an eye on the girls. We took turn then and when i am done with my prayer, he told me he's going toilet for while. Coming bck from toilet, I saw him pushing someone's trolley with 2 ladies tailgating behind him.

Maybe this is the hikmah of our delayed flight. We were fated to cross En Muddy's auntie and cousin's path who just landed from Perth. Of course we didn't hv chance to visit them as they was away for 4 days holiday trip to Perth but Allah the Mighty Arranger, arranged us eventually meet up at KLIA. Alhamdullilah. We had quick chat, they even insisted to dig out some souvenirs from Perth for Alis and Erin and then we left for our boarding gate.

Had a quick breakfast which costs us more that lunch combined with dinner altogether outside. My Nasi Lemak cost RM 16 ringgit, a cup of teh ais cost RM 3 or something. In total, we paid almost RM 70 ringgit for one plate of Nasi Lemak, 1 roti canai kosong, 2 teh ais and a plate of Mee Goreng mamak.. Nauzubillahhhhhh... Then we saw Kuwait Airways taxi-ing to it's designated spot, so quickly finished our meal and make a move.

Waited about 1/2 hour, and then the ground crew announced that the passenger can start boarding the plane starting with us, simply coz we were carrying 2 sleepyhead minor with us hence priority given. Found our seating, settled our hand carry, flight took off and so do us. The girls slept from KLIA till Abu Dhabi. Only woke up for meal around after an hour flying and then sleep again. I slept around 2 hours then couldn't sleep anymore. Watched New Moon, Princess and Frog from the in-flight channel and few movies which i dun recalled the title.

1st round of meal, we were given baked potato, chocolate bar, juices and sky juice. Then coffee and tea was served. In between the flights, they did serve 2-3 round of juices and coffee/tea but we were too stoned to even care to drink. Around an hour before landing, second meal was served, choices between chicken or fish. 3 of us opted for chicken while En Muddy memilih utk makan ikan. Ours was chicken in rendang-like gravy with mee goreng. Came in the set also was rojak nenas with timun and some kueh resemble kueh ketayap in malaysia. En Muddy's fish meal however was a total disappointment. White rice with fish in some red gravy. He's facial reaction was enough as a sign he didn't enjoy his meal as much as we did. Luckily Erin doesn't finished her meal so it wasn't a waste case this time heheh..

Landed at Kuwait the dessert storm at 1130 am ( local time) which tally to 4.30 Malaysia time. Straight away headed to Visa application counter. Lucky for us, only our family was present at that time. Not many people so our number was called immediately. U need to fill up VOA (Visa On Arrival) white form in order to apply for visa. I had filled up mine in malaysia beforehand. I also filled Alis and Erin particular in dependent particular behind my VOA form. It turned out that each applicant need to have each form for them self even if they're minor so I had to fill another 2 forms for Alis and Erin each. Paid 6 KD( equivalent to RM 72) for each visa and within 15 minutes, our visa completed and we're allowed to collect our bags.

Before that, we need to go downstairs 1st to settle En Muddy's visa as he came under work permit and not visiting visa like us, hence different counter. It doesn't took long to settle his and we proceed to luggage collection area.

En Muddy had reminded me not to let Indian porters who can be found everywhere in the airport area to carry our bags coz it's chargeable so I said no when one Indian approached me offering to help us carry our bag with a trolley in his hand. He kept followed us though even we said NO, which later then i know why. There's no sign of any bags on the conveyor belt. I guess other guest must have collected theirs and ours have been taken elsewhere by the porters. My guess turned out right coz he was pointing to one direction while talking Arabian so we just followed him and there they was. Our bags!!!!!! Laid there nicely waiting and wanting to be pick.

He quickly picked all of our luggages and send for scanner. This is where my C-sect stitches felt ngilu menikam nikam hahhahaha.. U see, we were carrying 5 bottles of Kicap Kipas Udang and 6 bottles of Heinz Cili Sauce. Kuwait and other Gulf Countries are known as liquor-free country. I heard stories about how some guests's bag was opened coz the custom suspected that they carried liquor due to bottle figure in scanner screen. On top of that,we also carrying "non-ori" DVDs with us. Like 10 pcs of that. Well, I'm not that afraid though as we didn't do any wrongdoing and we will just surrender the goods if we were told so but I had this things with law enforcement team. I got goosebumps wherever I saw them kah kah kah...

To my dismay, they dun even bother looking at the scanner screen and kept talking and chatting among each other. Totally waste a series of fight we had during packing time for how many bottles we should bring or how many DVDs we should carry with us. Kalau ku tahu, satu drawer aku bawak DVD huhuhuuhuhuhuh

We surely ended up had to pay the porter. Tak aperlah..halal lah kire. Mr Osama, company's driver had already waiting at arrival hall. In fact, he's already waiting since 6 am in the morning coz it was supposed to be the time we're arriving if the flight was not delayed. He was not informed by the company of the delayed, even my husband already SMS-ed his boss informed about our lateness.

Out of airport, we had our first taste of summer breeze. It felt like u were standing behind bus with it's engine on. Quickly set our self in a company car and get going. It was freakin' 43 degree out there. We have the whole season to enjoy our summer, but for now, we need to go home 1st. Our new home for the next 3 years insya allah.. Mangaf here we come !

Anyway, ni pemandangan dr tingkap apartment ku di sini...Indah bukannnn?? wahahahhaa it ain't golf course hijau terbentang but it is indeed baitil jannati ( Rumahku Syurgaku). View satellite dish pun jadik laaaa..

It's the end of our stay.. Not much activities done today as we need to leave our room @ 11 but as our lunch was included in the package so we will just hanging around till 1300 before leaving for Besut.

Had our breakfast and then packing our stuff and called their concierge for luggage pickup. They'll take care of our bags till we ready to leave.

Then, lepak time. We went to collect Alis' s batik and then just chillin' and relaxing around Monkey Bar area.. Beverages as usual was free flow so we had a lot of juices, mocktails, coke, ice lemon tea and many many more. Even their plain ice water taste nice hahahahha... I'm sucker for freebies...


- The girls with Alex, one of the GO turn bartender. She was big fan of Erin i simply dunno why -



- That turtle Alis holding cost En Muddy hefty 50 bucks and guess what, we found exactly the same at Pasar Payang for RM 15. Felt like we just being robbed hahhaa and suddenly i saw Alis and Erin semakin kecl dan kecil dan kecil..

Had lunch around 1.00 and then left for Besut. It's 4 hours journey and pretty much only the driver was awake. Reached Besut around 7 pm if i'm not mistaken coz we made a stop at Terengganu tu pick up En Muddy's sister.

While we at kampung, we took the opportunity to visit as many relatives as we can before leaving for Qwait. One on many places we went was of course Kota Bharu as En Muddy have 2 aunties staying there. Since it was weekdays and most of them was either at work or at school, we can only visit them in the afternoon so En Muddy suggested that we had our lunch at the ever so famous Nasi Paku. I dun get it at 1st, but soon when entering the shop, I understand why the name.


- As plain as clear blue sky why the name Nasi Paku was picked. Tak nampak? Dua Jumaat je la lg tandanye tuh hahahahha -

4 days at Besut was well spent I must say. We managed to visit almost all of the relatives within reach. Kids having good time and En Muddy looks happy. All in all, everyone happy :) Alhamdullilah..

Illa Liqa' !! ( Alis's favourite phrase now means Good Bye in Arab )..

|Mini Club N Petite Club|

As written in the itenary, we can start sending Alis and Erin to Mini Club and Petite Club as soon as 9 am. In summary, Mini Club was for 4-6 yrs kids while Petite Club basically caters 2-4 group of age. They open from 9 to 5.30 and they'll took care of everything. They'll bring the kids to enjoy some activities, make sure they took lunch and afternoon nap, bring them to swim, join art and craft activities, drawing, watching cartoons and so on. It's located side by side with it's own facilities. Mini Club of course was built to cater older group of age with swings, hammocks, study table, mini cinema and playgrounds. Siyes sangat cantekkk hohh.. Petite Club on the other hands, equipped with more baby-like facilities. It's like a dwarf house. Everything was small and petite suits it's name. The sink, toilet bowl, beds, table, kitchenware are all tiny. Cuteness bebenor.

By the way, Mini Club doesn't charge extra as it was included in the package but for Petitte Club, they charge extra as small babies needs more attention so they have to hired special GO trained to handle babies and it's needs. The charge was RM 65 for halfday and RM 125 for full day. In the form itself, we have to provide additional info such as comforting stuff for our baby. It could be bantal busuk, or special teddy bear or any songs if the babies get cranky, so to speak. In Erin's form, of course I wrote pacifier and bantal busuk. They also requested parents to prepare swimming suits, sun block, hat, and sun glass for our kids when checkin them in the morning but if we dun have one, it's okay as they have prepare it also. For Petite Club, we need to provide diapers, extra clothes and formula milk.

Unfortunately, Alis was sort of making scene and refuse to join the Mini Club group and decided to tailing me the whole day. Erin on more brighter note, being a good girl and just playing at Petite Club swimming pool and doesn't seems to bother when we left her there. Phewwww...

| The XTVT|

When we chose ClubMed, I dun have plans to go out and about, trying everything I could possibly try in 3 days time because I just dun feel like wear myself out. I just plan to relax, enjoying the holiday and having good times. Reason being was we had to travel down to En Muddy's hometown for 4 days after that and then coming back KL and packing to leave for Q8. Just imagined I will spend 2 days to pack if we going for holidays domestically or just for balik kampung and still I will have things left behind left alone major packing like this. So I need to save up some energy for that.

Since I had Alis with me, so we took her to Arts & Batik Craft Centre. She love colouring so this should suits her just fine. For info, there's additional charges incurred for the potrait. Rm 35 for the small one and RM 55 for the bigger potrait. Since we dun have all day to spent here, i asked Alis to pick small size potrait and she chose Goofy and the colouring process started. Owhh before that we had to sketch the image onto a piece of white cloth and once we're done, the assisttant will give it to an uncle who runs the place. He will "canting" the sketches we made using hot candle. I believed due to safety and skill reason, guest are not allowed to canting it ourself. The candle are very hot and the "canting" part was not as easy as it looks.

The old chap that running the place was very funny. U see, the location of Batik Arts & Craft Ctr are same row with Mini Club and Petite Club so he had this private joke that Mini & Petite Club are for kids and babies meanwhile Batik Arts & Craft Ctr are daycare for old citizens. This is because this place are widely known as a favourite place among elders. What else they can do ? I bet they hv no liking for sailing, flying trapeze or archery-ing hehehe.. Infact, when we was there, majority guest who participating are old lady, specially japanese and they will chose designs which are complicated and big so as to say. I guess this kindof design will definitely fill their time during their stay while their grandchildren and family spending their time out doing another activities. That uncle told me, there's one Japanese grandma which happened to ne there also at tht moment, was a regular for 3 days already and she stil have long way to go in finishing her batik. Apparently, she picked for herself biggest design ever existed there. Talking about too many free time huh ha ha ha...






Done with our batik, made our payment and left for lunch. We will collect the end products during checkout tomorrow coz they need to wash it, dry it and soak it with some chemical to lock the colours in. Erin will be having lunch with Petite Club groupie so we'll had ours without her. Since ade around 1/2 or so before lunch, my husband ajak lepak by the beach just opposite the Batik Centre. They had this canopy with tempting beds for guest who wish to had massages by the beach. Nice but we aren't going to have any because it's way too pricey. RM 450 for 45 min back massage or something. Way out of budget !

Chillin' around till around 1.00 pm. Alis main pasir with her friend, Aisyah while my hubby had a chat with Aisyah's father. Me on another side of the beach, just relaxin and doze off to lala land .. hahahah sedap sungguh tido tepi beach di tiup angin menderu2..

Not long after that, we move on to our lunch, then balik bilik for afternoon rest. We saw Erin's on our way to The Restaurant. She was a part of MiniClub and Petite Club parade. They have this costume and got their face painted. Hahahahah she look so cute in her yellow 2 piece suits costume.




Everyone was ready by 4.30 pm and we went to pickup Erin at Petite Club.

Our next destination was ClubMed's private beach. Just gotta have a peek there and see for myself what's so great there. I heard there's a restaurant called Rembulan also at the same beach where we can make private dinner reservation and they wil set our dinner table up by the beach hmmmmmmm...Maybe next time.. private holiday only two of us, 10 years anniversary perhaps.. hahahaha dream a little dream of me..

Our camera battery died here. Just about time the train came to fetch us back to hotel. Totally rely on camera phone after this.



Had dinner around 8 pm. There's funfair and some performance by MiniClub's clan at The Theather but apparently Alis and Erin was too tired and sleepy so we decided to call the day off after dinner. On top of that, it was indeed very hot nite with no wind at all. Kids are not comfortable and so do us. We're definitely sweating out like nobody business. Air-conditioned room seems like an ideal place to be at this moment hahaha..

This is siaran tertunda.....

2 years once, En Muddy's company will sponsored company outing for staffs and families. They normally will listed 2 locations ( 1 oversea and 1 local ) for staff to pick up like for example 2 years back, locations offered was Bandung and Sabah and we opted for Bandung. This year they give out 6 days 5nite Chiengmai trip or 3 days 2 nite ClubMed Cherating. Under normal circumstances, i would pick Chiengmai in no time but given our situation currently for we're leaving for Q8, En Muddy thought that ClubMed will fit in the bill more so ClubMed it is.

All together, our trip concludes of 10 families. Not surprising coz most of other staffs chose Chiengmai :) .. Each family was alocated RM 3000 by the company so in any cases our trip cost exceed, we need to absorb the balance incurred. Well pluspoint about opting local instead of overseas was most of the time, we have to topup minimal cost coz u see, there's no flight charges incurred. In this case, we just had to topup around 300 bucks more for Erin as Alis's cost was absorbed by the company allocation. Super nice huh.. I love free getaway hahahah.. Who doesn't anyway ?

So, we left KL around 1030 as we need to checkin after 2.30 pm. CludMed won't allowed any guest check in before 2.30. In fact, their security won't even let u in if u reach early and if u insist, they'll charge u 200 bucks for early checkin. Not pretty huh..I dun understand it at 1st but later on, I sorted of begin to understand reason behind this rule and I will explained in later part of this post.

As planned, we reached nicely around 2pm and singgah for a while at Kg Budaya Cherating. Simply just to buy times till 2.30pm. I got myself a very nice brown divers baby tee and my husband got himself divers shirt as well. I bought also batik rompers for Erin and Alis opted to buy toys to built sand castle.

Sampai je, as expected security de sangat strict. Lepas reception confirmed kat plate number , confirmed kan total guest, confirmed kan nama guest baru lah de bagi masuk. Upon reaching the lobby entrance, dh ade bellboy tunggu and GO. They will escort you to the reception counter where u'll be given welcome drinks, hot towels for freshen up and then the manager came and pass to us room card, towel cards, 20 % voucher for Mandara Spa and also entry forms for both MiniClub and Petite Club.

After short briefing, we were escorted to our room by Australian GO named Alex. As other GOs we found along the way, he's been very helpful, resourceful and cheerful. Soon after dropping our stuffs in our room, offed we go to The Theather for short briefing, then go back room again, changed to swimming attire and get some good splash at the pool till 7pm where we then excused ourself to clean and dressed up for dinner.


-It's a must for kids to wear floaties all the time in the pool, not to worry to bring ur own as they hv it prepared for u. Size basis-







Anyway, it's 88 theme dinner so everyone's was encouraged to wear 88 shirt. The more the merrier as they'll hv 88 group photoshoot at the end of the nite. 88 is anyway was a ClubMed symbol or icon. I didn't ask why 88 and not 99 though heheh. They hv large variety of 88 t-shirts selling in their souvenir store. All kind of shirts. Round neck, collared, polo, baby tee, and many more. There just should be something for everyone.



I always love theme party so why not. Anyway it's not like u can't wear it anywhere else later so it's a worth purchasing. I bought 88 matching shirts for all 4 of us while Alis, Erin and En Muddy enjoying their swimming. Unfortunately, I cannot involved in any water activities during this "period" of time as red flag decided to berkibar, hence no water xtxt for me uhhuhuhuhu.. Instead En Muddy offered me to get some retail shopping at souvenir store beside the pool. I can buy anything I like as long as it doesn't exceed RM 1500.. Deal sealed !! Am 100 % okay with the arrangement.. kah kah kah...

In ClubMed, they hv ventured this hassle-free system. As there's a lot of water base xtvts offered for guest, and most of the time guest will be out trying activities available, so it is quite a hassle to have to bring ur wallet or other stuffs with u all the time. In order to tackle this, and to make things easier for everyone they have this debit card system. Upon checkin, u can activate ur own debit card by charging RM 1500 using ur cdt card or pay cash. Anything suits u ! With this debit card, u dun have to worry about carry-ing your wallet or cash around and u certainly have not need to worry if u hv nobody to keep an eye for ur belongings when u participating in any xtvt, anymore. So as to say, u can basically pay anything with this card. Be it souvenirs, panadols, personal needs like tooth brush or others and also for some xtxt offered that required some additional charges like Batik drawing Alis did or fees for Erin's Petite Club. Just slipped the card in ur pocket together with towel cards and u ready to enjoy ur day out. If u ended up did not spend anything by the end of the day of ur stay, they'll void the charge or return ur cash. Just like that.... Hmmmmmm macam iklan promote ClubMed ekk hahahah.. For info, i am not paid to do this promo. Just pouring out my experiences I had incase korang2 nak pergi, so dh ade skit guidelines....

Back to previous topic, dinner was on the house. So did breakfast, lunch and beverages all day long during ur stay. Even lunch on your departure was on the house. Only lunch on your arrival day was on ur own, hence they only allowed u to checkin after 2.30pm. To avoid mix up with guess who are leaving on ur arrival day, I guess!


Anyway, the dinner was awesome. The spread was overwhelming. There's chinese, western, Indian, Malays, Japanese and so many. Anything u want. U can even ask for custom made menu from the Chef and they'll tried to prepare for u provided they have the ingredients. They even have this baby corner where they had placed warmer, food processor and selections of Heinz baby food. Just grab one for ur baby. If u feel like feeding ur baby with porridge or something else, just ask the Chef and they'll help u to prepare it. Talking about family oriented huh.. It's very spoiled and convinient too. Everything was made easy for you and your baby. U just have to ask.




After dinner, we were ushered to The Theather for show of the nite. All GOs will presenting a show tribute to Michael Jackson. It's hillarious but not bad though as they choreographed all the moves themselves. Deserve a big clap for effort and passion. They even have broadway-like props and portable sets imitating Michael Jackson's video clips. The Black & White indeed the most hillarious of all as they creatively copied the scene whereby the faces changes from male to female, from black people to white. Remember? Tyra Banks was in this scene. In this case, they made a box painted with black and white on each side. There's 2 GOs ( 1 white man and 1 black guy) hiding behind it and when "Michael Jackson" sing "It's no matter if u black or white", they will emerged from behind the box one by one it's damm funny ha ha ha .. I know it may sound not as funny as I described it. I am damm not good putting things like this into words. U just got to see it for urself then u'll get what i meant.




- So called " King of Pop" from Brazil. He may moves like Michael but he doesn't look much like him and it's upset Alis so much -

Alis have this hugeeee thing for Michael Jackson. Her most favourite track of all time was a number titled They Dun Care About Us. She will choose Michael's video clip over Little Einstein for all I know.

So basically, she was the most excited one about watching the tribute. She kept mentioning it while bersiap and kept insisting us to finish our dinner faster so she wouldn't miss the show. Helloooooo! Mummy was in the midst of enjoying tiger prawn grill okayy, u little bugger.. hahahah.. I guess in her mind, real Michael will be coming performing that nite as they had put up all this posters and bunting featured his face on it. Of course it's not possible as Michael already rest in peace by this time but I just dunno how to explain to her that her idol had died without being ambushed with thousand questions hahahhaha. It's more on I am not in a mood for Q&A session that nite so I just let her be and see for herself.

Sufficed to say that she didn't enjoy the nite as much as the rest of us coz she was expecting Michael to show up. Duhhhhhh.. She kept this "chetung" ( moncong) face along the show. Hahahaha ..

The tribute takes around 1 1/2 hrs or so and finished sometime at 1130 hrs, then they announced that they'll be organizing Beach Party by the private beach and everyone is invited. Good value about ClubMed is that they're very family oriented. Not much of resort from it's kind have this value which I think why ClubMed are so popular amongst holiday goers travelling with kids. Someplace may said their place are so-called family oriented, but believe me, so far I've been to many places if not many as others but ClubMed are the best place to go as a family.

The beach is reachable via train so they had lined up trains for guests whom wished to joined the party at the train stop. It's tempting alright. They even have this Monkey Bar located by the beach so everything is covered. Good music, nice mocktail, transport provided. All u need to do is dragged ur feet to be there. U can even ask for milk for ur baby if u want too. Well it does sounds like some night-out if there's only 2 of us. To tell the truth, I was so eager to see the beach party myself as from what I heard it was damm fun but the other 2 members of Muddy's clan, junior one, obviously doesn't agree with me hahahahha.. Both sleepyhead yawning 5 min once so we called it the day off .

End of day one it seems.

P/S : There's WIFI connection available for everyone almost everywhere here for free. We even tried it by the beach side and there's a signal, but weak though. All we need to do is get the password from the reception. They'll give u connection based on ur stay. We're staying for 3 days so we were given 72 hours of connection.

PP/S : Not much picture i can post here as En Muddy's camera only have one bar battery and about to die soon. Somehow, he forgot to charge it before returning to Malaysia and worst part is, he forgot to bring the charger back. I tau la tak sabar nk balik jumpa i :) .....
