In normal days, under normal circumstances.. I will always use one and only method working for me. U see, some people would gulp a glass of water, some will wet small piece of paper/newspaper and tampal kat dahi (mostly applied to babies) and I've heard some people will apply hot oil on their tumit... In what way tumit related to hiccup still remain mystery. Hanya Allah yang tahu... Kalau sakit perut tu pernah la dengar sapu minyak panas kat tumit ngn betis heheh..

Anyway, Alis and Erin ade penyakit pelik. Once they laugh their heart out, atau dengan kata lain ketawa mengilai ,mengekek, berguling x control ayu, they will ended up having hiccup the very moment they stop laughing. Senyum atau sengeh atau merenyih somewhat tak jadik pulak... De mcm ade standard piawaian. When they laughing up to certain frekuensi, derang akan hiccup. Pernah jadik tak kat anak korang??

I used to asked doctor about this when Alis was a baby since she had quite a lot of hiccup series and won't just go away if given plain water or tampal kertas ajaib kat dahi and the doctor replied that it was normal symptom and we just hv nothing to worries. Bg air segelen pun x kan resolved the problem. Just leave it as it is.

Tak ilang gak, tukar lak kepada yg lebih bersifat kontemporari, kite minum air sirap pulak, tak jadik gak minum strawbery milk lak.....Ilang hiccup ganti kembung, tak pun asik nk membese

(kencing) jek keja...hahahha.... In between suruh minum air, normally I will ask my kids tu calm down, stop laughing or whatever we were doing that triggered the hiccup symptom... And as mysterious as it could be , sometimes it does go away which giving me below idea.

Before I revealed my hiccup trick ( cheh cheh cheh ...cam bagus bagus )..Please take note I have no scientific proven that my method will make hiccup go away. I dun have any research lab built for me with thousand volunteer to test my theory coz apparently I'm the only volunteer I can find that willing to do stuff beyond normalities hahahhaha... Even En Muddy tend to laugh at my theory when I generously shared with him my petua back then. Not believing is one thing, he will tend to sarcastically poisoned my kids when i tried to taught them my petua. He will goes like this : "Haaaa cepat cepat , mummy start doh tuh petua hiccup dier tuh.. cepat cepat buat cepatt... hahaha hahaha" ..

Sangat tak kelakar okayyyy!!....Tobat kecik hati setahun...

Okay, enough crap... petua nyer begini...

When you're having hiccup ... All you need to do is...

2)Distract yourself. Think about some other else. Good stuff is recommended. Go to your happy place. Jangan la time tu lak nk pikir tak bayar lg bil api, bil air, kicap tak beli, sampah luper buang.... Confirmed, hiccup tak ilang, migraine datang bertamu hahhaa

3)Pabila dah dapat jumlah ketenangan yang diperlukan, hold your breath to certain amount of time berdasarkan kemampuan and then telan air lior as much as u can.

What i noticed was, hiccup ni makin menjadik bile kite bernafas or panicking or melayan ke-hiccup-an itu...so by menahan nafas dan telan air lior, secara indirectly kite menghentikan proses hiccup... Konon macam hiccup tu dh sampai kat dada, then kite hold our breath dan telan air lior, umpama kite swallowed balik hiccup tu ...reverse phsychology cenggitu ! Geli ? air lior sendiri pe, bukan suh telan air lior jiran sebelah ..duhhhh !

Okay anda dibenarkan gelak sekarang...gelak la...sila sila gelak....

Dah abes gelak ?? Okay sambung.....

Try to hold as long as u can and telan as much as u can !

4)Keep repeating langkah 1-3 jika percubaan pertama tidak berjaya :)

Insya allah, with Allah permission, hiccup itu akan ilang dengan jaya nyer... hahahha

It may or may not work base on keserasian dan dan tahap keterror-an si tester. Nevertheless, it was still worth a try and definitely worth a post ...

On a brighter note, Alis ngn Erin selalu mixed up hiccup dengan sendawa. See, they are taught to recite Alhamdullilah after sendawa, bersin and they thought sesedu(hiccup) was in the same category. Just imagine they say alhamdullilah after each and every hiccup and most of the time things will turn out like this

"hicccc ( sound effect of hiccup. please nasalised it to get more effect-it may vary from others based on umur dan kebesaran anak tekak) alhamdu hicccc ....alham hiccc al hiccc..... and on and on and on.. hahahaha so funny.. We did correct their confusion after that but definitely after few minutes la kan.. They're so hiccc damm hiiccc funny hiccc ..."

My previous post hv shown that I'm a planner. I planned for almost everything. It did irritate my hubby at certain level but this is who I am. I'll become restless and agitated if I'm not well prepared for anything. But human power can go so far, then comes Yang Maha Berkuasa. Allah s.w.t knows best :)

If i'm going for some interview or meeting, I'll check the route a day or two in advance, be it in google map, or by asking people surrounded me ( normally 1st person i run to was my husband of course as he is to me are life-size-walking-GPS ) or even drive myself there to get familiar with the place.

Then after fully equipped with printed Google map, details direction from En Muddy, and I'm still nervous and my chest felt like it's going to explode, I will make a move to my destination 3 hours earlier so if i got lost (which happened almost all of the time hahaha) , I still have time to re-route and find the correct way. If I reached early, still I can find place to sit and ordered myself a cup of tea or I can just lepak inside my car listening to music. I prefer the latter since there's no way i'm going to be seen sipping tea alone. Kesian sangat rupa nyer macam x de kawan :)

I am that bad at mapping !! Seriously seriously seriously..... I may had been to place A 100 times before but i will still clueless about how to go there specially if i'm coming from other direction.

I still remembered I used to have swimming class every Wednesday at UiTM couple of years ago. Just to roughly explained how bad am I with road, map, navigation thingy, let say I had 10 classes, my way back home will be 10 different routes coz I just dun remember which are the shortest, fastest or easiest way. I have no problem to go there coz I had my officemate play tour guide thing as we were in the same swimming class and she was Shah Alam-mer ( adekah perkataan ini?).

Biggest problem definitely my way home and my guide was only signboard so any signage pointing to Damansara ( my previous sanctuary) is where I'm heading to hahahaha. Mind you there's thousand exit from Shah Alam heading Damansara. Plus the fact that my class normally finished around 10.30 pm where everywhere is dark isn't helping.

Knowing me better, En Muddy knows that he had to provide me with all details before i set my big lazy bum in bumi Q8. Me myself had done several research myself. U see, I just can't let myself go to one place in Malaysia before knowing at least basic thing about that place. Left alone taking big step to another continent like Q8.

Most blogs related to Kuwait I read before doesn't really tell insider about Q8. I had this urge to know details, details detail!

Where to buy pampers? What type of pampers they had there? What formula milk is there for Erin? Do we have to bring our own from Malaysia? How our apartments are going to be? How it's look like? How women were treated there? Can I drive there? I even done research about Alis future school hahahha... How far the school from home? How her uniforms gonna be? How are the groceries store like? Do we have to bring some from Malaysia? Did they have cinema there? How's the weather like? ( ahhh thanks to my uncontrollably level of curiosity, now i know Kuwait is a 4 season country. Never know this before. Did u know? )

I had this how, why, where, what questions lingering in my mind and I am so in need of the answer. Sangat cerewet and paranoid !! It's pretty frustrating not knowing more .........till Pokdi gave En Muddy this link and En Muddy then pass the link to me. My perspective and view towards Q8 changed overnite after checking out this link.

It turned out there's so much more Q8 has got to offer and u just have to dig deeper. It's mind boggling to me. For me home is where your heart and your family is so wherever our faith took us, I will make sure it's feel homely enough for my family.

Cerita dapur minggu ni, dengan ini di istytiharkan minggu ni minggu udang... hahaha sebab customer2 saya suke udang , menurun sapaaaa la tuh??? Dh offer nk masak ayam, daging....tetap la vote paling tinggi udang...so amikkk.... udang sesajoooo...

Among menus udang minggu ni... Adelah menu lain but mostly x sempat nk snap pic, dh kene terkam.. menu yang di anaktirikan x masuk gamba adelah kentang masak kicap for kids, and kentang masak cili idop for queen... sambal ikan bilis...ikan kerisi goreng...hahah sume tau kot rupe kentang , rupe ikan goreng kan...so x yahla masuk.. wat malu jek

-lemak putih kobis,carrot, suuhun dan fuchuk.. tu diaaa lauk 5 in 1 hahaa, senang kerja makcik -

-fried butter shrimp with garlicccsss, shallotsss and curry leaves..ni kids version, mine pasti ade cili padi...lot lot lot yummeh !!!!...reason letak byk s dekat garlic ngn bawang tu, sbb saya penggemar tegar garlic, so did my kids :) -

-omellete yang hodoh with chunks of onion and fresh milk.... sedap tul tulis nama menu dlm omputeh kan... macam hebat hebat jek padahal telur dadar bawang je hahaha..susu segar di letak utk memberi rasa lemak lemak merdu -

-udang masak sambal kering try-cuba-test, 1st time try ni, slalu nye my version of sambal mesti yg melaka style, byk gravy...tapi jadik jadik..percubaan menjadik, sdap jek, kalau x sedap pun korang tau kerrrr hahaha -

-lauk kiddies..gulai udang bersama kacang buncis, again sebab lauk ni utk customer 18 thn kebawah punye kategori, so x pakai cili padi, letak cili kering skit jek wat cukup syarat-

As my last update, Erin was having fever + sesema + batuk.... Alis lak batuk + sesema jek...No fever... Me glad..

I fetched them from Ibu's on Thursday evening with Erin already showing x sehat nye simptom. Badan dh slightly "dedar"... refuse to drink milks or taken meal mlm tu so pujuk2 de mkn roti and frosties.. makan la jugak 3-4 sudu. At this time, de dh baring jek and in-active. Around 2 am in the morning, temperature naik 37.8 degree so i put on Kool fever and lap badan de with pipe water.. and bg dose of PCM.

Friday morning, I was already in my baju kurung, siap makeup bagai. On my way to kitchen utk siapkan bekal air and biscuits Alis utk skolah de when i peeked at Erin and saw her shivering.. menggigil gigil yg amat kuat due to panas dalam.. Serious terkejut coz b4 I took my shower, dh check temperature, x tinggi sgt... I quickly hold her tight and carried her to bathroom nak mandikan trus takut de kena fit kan.... but she refused to let go of me and decided to hold tight my neck.

Saw no other options and i had to move fast, i turned on my shower and stand under the shower with her clinging to me, in my full baju kurung and makeup on.. Nk mandi pun nk vogue hahaha.... Walau dh biasa jek sebenarnye shower secara berduet (oppppssss !! hahah terpecah sudahh) atau bertrio tapi x pernah lagi shower dgn baju kurung selama nih... Sib baik i haven't put on my tudung else mmg complete la aku gi kerja bawah shower that day :) . Takper... takper...demi anak kata nyer...

Lepas mandi kan and pakai kan pampers, i gave her ubat muntut... Once her temperature started to decreased, woke Alis up and mandikan der. Bring Erin to clinic. Still temperature de mendadak naik around 38.8 degree... so Doctor prescribed antibiotic.. Singgah Rahimah's Kitchen nk tapau breakfast but Alis insisted nk makan situ... So ordered nasik lemak for Alis and nasi goreng for Erin. Me in another hand, had both...hehe kecek kecek anak punya.. Done with breakfast, and Erin's pun dah back to her ownself - active little smurf.. Singgah Hero nak beli few groceries and sebagai balasan being a good girls, both Alis and Erin get to pick one toys each.. If i'm not mistaken, Erin took Jawi blocks toy while Alis amik drawing board.

Headed home and bg anak anak ubat... Tidorla anak anak...berehat...semoga kalian cepat sembuh....Mummy gusar jika kalian sakit.. Papa jauh di seberang laut Arab...

While they sleep, me cooked chicken soup and bubur nasik... Jangan tanye gamba sebab x de masa nk bergamba dah , anak sakit.. hahahah... Alis woke up around 2 lebey and Erin slightly later. Bukak jek mata , perkataan pertama de sebut... Miiii...nak acikkk !!!!

Wah anak mintak nasik ni, meloncat mummy ceduk nasik and suap both of them... Mmg relieved sangat sebab once they had their appetite back, showing that they getting well.. Sbb kalau x sehat kan takde selera kan...So bile dh selera , makna nye cam dh sehat sikit.. Alhamdullillah... makan Nak makanlah...Tak cukup 2 pot, se-tong lg beras ade...

Overall, Erin tambah dua kali and so do Alis.... As for today ( Tuesday ) , dua dua dh back to business. Erin dengan kerja part time de assist Ibu mengasuh Baby Basil while Alis lak dh kembali ke alam persekolahan. Me... macam biasa, customer ramai dah bising, lalang banyak dh tinggi...
