As the title suggested. I would like to share with you the recipe for Rendang Itik & Ayam. It's sooo very easy even 10 years could make it.

Firstly, care to see the ingredients?

You'll need shallots, lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, galangal (if you possess one) and daun kunyit, all sliced thinly.

Then, you will need the most important ingredient to make this meal success which is itik and ayam. Takde ni tak jadik. 1 ekor each.. Takyah buang bulu, since for my recipe, ayam & itik that comes with the bulu the better :)

Kah kah kah.........

Kelakar tak? Kelakar tak? No?

Actually this post was about Book Week & Story Reading held at Alis's school on the last day of schooling before Spring Holiday. Owh before that , I did made the rendang and it came out satisfyingly tasty but that would call for another post since I forgot to take the end result photo. I'll find sometime to make another batch soon and post about it Insya Allah.

Back to Book Week, before Alis's school started their Spring Holiday, the school organised a Book Week at the playground area. The parents and students can come anytime to buy the book of their liking. On Thursday, they had this story reading session for Year 1,2 and 3. As for Kindergarten and Reception students, since they're too small, they don't participate in the events but were welcome to watch the event and encouraged to wore costume too.

The only costume we had was The Pirate costume bought for Yazid's birthday bash last month or so. However, Alis refused to wear that costume again so I asked around among my closest friend and turned out Ayu had few costumes to lend. Phewwwww, definitely save us some dinars there. Thanks a lot to Ayu for her kindness and generosity.

And the parade started. Each classes will don costumes that represents the story they'll be presenting. Even the teachers were all so sporting and appeared in full costumes too. Such an efforts!

:: Finding Nemo. I get the nemo and Sharks but failed to see why there is Spongebobs there.. Owh maybe because of WHOOOOOOOOOOOO lives in the pineaple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANT! Clue: SEA. ::

My husband went upfront, close to the main stage to get a closer picture so he managed to snap a photo of this very cute black kitten :)

:: This class chose Hensel & Gretel. It seems like we have 5 Hensel and only one Gretel with 2 witches ::

The parade started for quite sometimes but I couldn't see Alis anywhere. I peeked and peeked but to no avail. When my husband approached me, he told me he too, didn't saw Alis as she's nowhere to be in the front row. So we decided to look for her at her class. On our way, we met Alis's teacher Ms Rahdah. She looked as if she was looking for someone and turned out, she actually looking for us ha ha ha. Since the hall was packed full, some of the kindergarten and Reception students can't go inside the hall as there won't be any seats available. Instead, they were taken to video room where the teacher put a movie on for them to watch until end of school session. Apparently, while standing in front of the hall entrance, Alis already saw us and insisted to go to us but was told not to by her teacher causing her to cried - non stop! Aiyohhhhh anak sape lah manja sangat nih....

:: We used to hear of Malam Ini Penyu Menangis, but today we had Siang Ini Ayam Menangis instead ehehe. Ololololo teruk benar menangis nyer anak dara ni ::
