Dialogue from The Matrix.. I quote..

Morpheus: 'I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one who must walk through it'

In some weird way, it's same goes to parenthood. Although, you are your child's 1st teacher as they absorb more while watching and observing rather that listening, still, as they grew older and wiser, you would need extra helping hands. It just not possible that you knew practically everything your child need to know. This is where teachers and tutors came into picture. Just so you know, I am pretty much at ease when it comes to her primary curriculum because I believed I enrolled her into among the best International school in Kuwait. My concern focuses more on her pengisian of Islamic study. That's where International school was lacking of. They do offer Arabic class and they also have Islamic Studies syllabus but only in higher grade.

This matters bothers us much as all Muslim parents out there, we would want to nurture our children with strong foundation, starting from small. It started with dreams and hopes, now with the helps of Malaysian Embassy, Malaysian students in Q8 and a bunch of highly ambitious and passion mommies, finally we have our own KAFA class for Malaysian young generations in Kuwait. Subhanallah, Thank you Allah for making it easy for us all along.

The first class started last last Thursday, at embassy. Although Alis was still very weak from prolonged post jab fever, she was insisted to join even after I talked some sense into her that it is okay if she miss this class as this KAFA will be our weekly Thursday night activity Insya allah.

:: Erin was sooo super psyched about this KAFA thingy, she can't stay still for even a minute. Goshhhhhhh ::

:: At lobby, waiting for our bus to come. Alis was still have some energy left in her when this pic was taken. Night is still young ! ::

:: My husband was on night shift that day and coincidentally, our bus was scheduled to come almost the same with his van, hence his presence in this photo ::

:: 3 iron ladies behind the KAFA's success ::

:: Malakoffian's kids. Alis, Talha, Usetazah Erin, Icha and Irfan. Alis started getting sick but decided to proceed anyway. May Allah bless her ( and all of our children), and shower them with determination, istiqamah and strong will ::

The classes was divided into 3 age groups so that focus and attention and can be provided and distributed fairly among them, plus it will be easy for all the three ustazs to prepare their teaching module suited the class age they're going to handle.

:: First group. Age 4-6 with their Mudarris ( teacher), Ustaz Sufilah. The most active, cheerful and full of spirit's class of all. We all can't stop laughing at them. I must say, the committee made the right choice by letting Sufilah handle the youngest group because he was a natural with kids and the kids love him to bits. Erin nampak seperti serious di situ! Sila jangan tertipu.. Aksi serious hanya lasted for good 5 minutes and she was all gone haywire after this ha ha ha. Infact, after 2 weeks joining KAFA, she remained the most active participant, raised hand to all questions Ustaz asked, albeit got all wrong answers for it kah kah kah and the most talkative and challenging one to handle by our soft spoken Ustaz. Urrrmmm what can I say, that's my girls! ::

:: Middle age class, 7-9 years old, by far the class with largest number of students with their Ustaz. The committee are going to appoint another teacher for this group in future so the number of student in each class can be reduced ::

:: 9-12 years old class with their Ustaz Ikhwan. While us mommies of students in 4-6 years's class worried whether our kids can adjust or not with their new Ustaz, mommies for this category have other worries it seems. Since their ustaz was so young, not to mentioned handsome some more, all their mommies worried that the young ladies in this group have problem focusing to what Ustaz have to teach hahahaha.. Infact, when they were asked to move closer for group photo, all this anak daras went blushing and tersipu2. Aiyohhhh so cute lah!. Worry not because all of them behave really well in class, plus their mommies was just a partition away, just in case :) ::

We also had potluck session after the kids finishes their class with all foods and beverages contributed by all participated mommies. It was very nice environment, very relaxing and cheerful. We adjourned the session around 9 pm. As for today, all mommies was just waiting, chatting and idling during those 2 hours KAFA class but after some brief discussion, we've decided to organised some activities for mommies as well in future so instead of waiting, we could do something beneficial for our selves. First activity planned was Yoga class. Will blog about it soon Insya Allah...

Till then, stay safe and sound peeps...
