First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims around the world Happy Eidul Fitri as we're now counting down to Eidul Fitri that will be arriving very very soon, say about less than a week. Most of Malaysian friends here already safely reached home to spend Hari Raya holiday with their loved ones, leaving few unfortunate bunch of citizen who was fated to celebrate the happy day here in Q8 this year, including me. Eh unfortunate ker? Not to say unfortunate lah, more like blessed for given once in a lifetime opportunity to experience berhari raya di negara orang ( dalam hati huwaaaaaaaaaaaa).

One of my good friend, Ati also will be celebrating Hari Raya with her family in Kedah hence she organised makan makan session in conjunction of her leaving two days before her departure day, which joined by me and Yan's family. Menu of the day was sinfully delicious Mee Rebus Tulang, cocktail pudding and bubur kacang by the host. We did not come empty handed though. I brought Cucur Udang while Yan came with cakes - banana and chocolate moist. Apologize to Yan coz there's no photo of her cakes that day. Dah tak sempat nak snap, dh abes kene sebat.

{ Cucur Udang}

{ Cut into smaller bite-size. Easy to "ngap" }

{ Bumbu for Mee Rebus}

{ Kuah Mee Rebus}

{ Ati, Me and Yan serta kanak kanak bersepahan hahah. Excuse the artsy mural behind us, it's way of Ati's children to express their feeling, in their own way * wink* *wink*. Owh anyway, me and the girls decided to wear sluar Ali Baba sedondon, bought at Salmiya}

{ Co-owner of this blog. She will decide which photo get to be posted here and which photo don't. Such a mini Queen control}

After Iftar and solat, my family and Ati's went to Bazar Fahaheel to collect our "baju raya" while Ati need to get some souvenirs to bring back home which I will blog about it in the next post, Insya allah.

So as usual, below are some foods I managed to prepare for Iftar and sahur for this week.

{ Ayam masak merah}

{ Kerapu goreng. Plan nk wat sweet and sour tapi tinggal lg 10 minit nk berbuka, maka ....... sambung sdiri lah ayat eh kah kah kah}

{ Sup sayur}

{ Our 2nd attempt in making sushi. Finally all the hours spent studying video on U-tiub was paid off. Ade improvement kan kan kan kan? Let see, my salmon was in non-cooked bright orangy color-the way it supposed to be and it's way neater than before, I had learn another way to touch up crab meat Nigiri, by tying it with Nori, and we successfully made sushi out of caviar although it's a bit tedious ( for us beginner). By far Alis's favorite. Credit to En Muddy too coz he made half of this himself. *patted self at the back*}

{ Sushi girl grinning over her sushi. That's Japanese soy sauce by Blue Dragon. Someone please please tell me it's halal coz I can't really tell. I've read the bottle upside down and still I can't really tell.}

{ Clearer view}

{ Solok lada for Iftar}

{ Left over for sahur, steamkan jek balik and it's as good as new. Membuak2 lak isik solok lada ni, kalau bab makanan saya mmg tak kedekut ahakkk. En Muddy kata : Solok lada Mummy passed with flying colour hehhe ( flying colour tu adelah ayat tambahan sdiri wakakaka}

{ Daging Bakar dengan Air Asam Budu}

{ Air asam budu, tataw la ape rasa sbb aku tak sentuh hahaha. Reason tak sentuh : Sbb ade budu. Aku hentam jek buat, tataw la cukup rasa ke tak. Owh tapi En Muddy bertambah2, mungkin sedap barangkali :) }

{ Sup Ikan Merah for the girls}

AKhir kata, Happy Monday everyone !
