In conjunction of Ema's leaving Q8 for good next week, Yan and Hazeem decided to throw some farewell party aka iftar event at her place. We decided to make it as a potluck and everyone will contribute 2 types of food. After brief discussion, we decided that the finalized menus are as off below :-

Yan : Kari Ikan, Sambal Udang, Sambal Terung, karipap & bawal goreng. Also incharged of rice and beverages of the day
Ayu : Ayam goreng, pau sambal
Ati : Ketam masak lemak cili padi, bubur kacang and kangkung belacan.
Me : Ayam percik and Chocolate chip muffin
Ema : Kueh lapis aka rumah flat hehe, and Ikan sweet n Sour
Lina : Meehun and grilled beef in soy sauce.
Kak Siti : Puding jagung

Since Ati and Yan was practically living side by side, so they took charge of preparing heavy gravy stuff like lemak and kari and also play host. We, from other building have to settled with dry menu since we need to travel with our food, by cab. I just dun see how I would survived carrying big pot of kari and not having any of the girls left behind, or the curry spilled, or worst case scenario, both!. En Muddy couldn't joined as he's working nite shift that day so it's all on me.

I apologize in advance as I was about to paste a series of a very disturbing images below, specially for fasting people. Not for person with a weak stomach though. Kindly click button X should you find below images are too obscene. Thank you very much :)

Since Ati and Yan was next door neighbor, so both house was availabe for all guest. We can choose where we want to sit as 2 houses offered a lot of empty seats. Therefor, the arrangement was set that mens will occupying Ati's house while the ladies got Yan's house, whole house for ourselves yeayyy. We had a blast. It is more or less a close affair involving a lot of eating, chatting, laughing and eating again.

Things I like about gathering like this is the benefit we gained from it. Yang jauh jadik dekat, yang dekat semakin rapat. It certainly created positives outcome. As an example, me and Kak Siti in above picture, never knew each other before in our lives. I met her 1st during Iftar @ Embassy. However, as sadly as it is, it's just involved a handshake, exchanging smiles and bye, see u later stuff. This time, things worked out differently, in a good way of course. In the gathering, I finally had a real chance to sit and talk to her, you know, sort of trying get to know her better and I found out that she was coincidently my auntie's neighbour at Kota Tinggi. Very close neighbor. Seeeeee, if not because of gathering like this, it's impossible for us to ever found out about any of this.

We all parted around 9pm and I just knew that this is just the beginning. There will be more event like this in future, guaranteed.
